Starting from September 1st, peak season surcharges will be imposed on North American routes

On the 8th, Herbert announced on its official website that starting from September 1st, peak season surcharges (PSS) will be imposed on goods shipped from East Asia (including China) to North America. The PSS standard is $480 for 20 foot containers and $600 for 40 foot and high containers.

Previously, DaFei also announced the collection of peak season surcharges! On July 20, DaFei announced that from August 21, 2023 (the date of loading), it would levy US $300 per TEU on dry containers, refrigerated containers, overweight goods and bulk groceries from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan, China to South Africa.
